How we report, source, and label our work.

Modern Pet Digest is written to be accurate. Where a claim is drawn from veterinary research, peer-reviewed literature, or a specific organization's published guidance, we cite that source directly in the article. Where a claim reflects consensus among practicing vets rather than a single study, we say that too.

Sponsored content is always labeled

Any article on this site that involves a paid placement, an affiliate arrangement, or a product we were compensated to write about is labeled "Advertisement · Sponsored Editorial" at the top of the page, in the exact position where our category tag would normally sit. We do not run undisclosed native ads. Ever.

Product opinions are our own

Sponsors do not get to review or edit our articles before publication. Our opinions on gear, food, and products — including sponsored ones — are ours, and we will call out weaknesses in products we're being paid to feature when they exist.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction. Email corrections to hello@modernpetdigest.com. We take reader corrections seriously — a publication that pretends to be never wrong is a publication you can't trust when it says something is right.
